Fruit Granita
I love our Salado White Balsamic Vinegar Flavors. Why not make a quick granite dessert to make the day amazing.
Fruit Granita
Ingredients:
1 lb. ripe strawberries, blackberries, watermelon or peaches (I use what is in season and what coordinates with my flavors in the White Balsamic Vinegar)
⅓ Cup sugar
2 Cups water
3 Tablespoons of Salado White Strawberry Peach Balsamic Vinegar, Watermelon, Honey Ginger, or White Pineapple
Directions:
Rinse the fruit. In a medium saucepan bring the water to a boil. Add the fresh fruit, sugar, and simmer for 30 minutes. Strain the mixture to remove any giant chunks Allow the mixture to cool completely. Pour the liquid into a glass baking pan and add the Balsamic Vinegar of your choice and freeze for about an hour. Scrape the crystals from the outside edges into the center to help with the freezing process.
I like to serve with a sprig of mint in a fancy glass. Chilled Vodka makes a lovely adult beverage or add soda for a colorful drink for kids.
